| Introduction:
All your favorite characters from a wide variety of nintendo games come
together to race go karts? When i heard of this game of thought it was a
joke, but after playing it i realized it was very good racing game. In this
game you have eight characters to choose from; Mario (of course), Luigi,
Toadstool, Toad, Bowser, Koopa Troopa, Donkey Kong, and the loveable Yoshi.
Graphics [8/10]:
This game has very smooth graphics with very good color, and excellent
backgrounds. This game unlike its n64 counterpart has no "eyecandy" I like
this in a game because if you have room for extra add-ons you obviously didn't
make a very good game.
Music and Sound [7/10]:
The music isn't very original, basically the same hokey music from mostly all
mario games. The sound however is a different story, the sound has a vast
variety in that the squeeling of tires, the sound of gofers, etc.
Gameplay [8/10]:
I thought the gameplay was exceptional for a racing game because of the
different levels of difficulty and the 20 different tracks, unlike N64
version. N64's version has 16 tracks. Also the 8 different characters made
it more interesting.
Challenge and Replay [10/10]:
This was the second game i bought for snes about 6 years ago. I still find
myself playing this game on an almost daily basis. The reason for this is the
levels of difficulty. This makes the game more
challenging and fun. If mario kart had just one skill level the game would
have probably bombed because after playing the game three or four times on
50cc's i had mastered every cup.
Overall\Conclusion [8/10]:
This game is one of the most challenging racing game i've ever played.
