Introduction:
1 year before the game takes place, Will and his father led an
expedition to the Tower of Babel. Will's father and his party met with
disaster. Somehow, Will made it back to South Cape... The next day, he
hears his father's voice in the jail at Edward Castle. He must find the
six Mystic Statues in order to find his father and stop the Chaos Comet
that's heading straight towards earth...
The game is an adventure game, like The Legend of Zelda series. I LOVE
THAT GAME! Therefore, I love this game as well. It has lots of secrets,
including a hunter hired by the princess' mother and a strange man named
the Jeweler Gem. Could they be the same...?
Graphics [9/10]:
Graphics do not make a game (check Duck~Duck's e-mails in the mailbag)
but they do help. This game has some good graphics in certain places
(check out Will's hair blowing, that is a clue sometimes...). Anyway, it
happens to have some cool bosses, too. (check out how Castoth comes out
of that pit!) If you think graphics make a game but will NOT move to N64
or PSX, look at this. The backgrounds are pretty good (especially the
Incan Ruins), but they're not the greatest things ever.
Music and Sound [8/10]:
Not quite great. I'll admit some tunes (like the boss music) are pretty
cool, but they're not QUITE great. The sound effects make up to that.
Listen carefully to Will's flute in some places, it helps make out where
to use the Psycho Dash. However, the ONE flaw with the sound effects is
that you do NOT have a very good select sound.
Game Play [10/10]:
Ultimate! It's fun. It's tough. It's not boring. It has secrets. It has
cool stuff. I'll give you a list of good junk in it. If you like one of
the things on my list, you will like this game. Do you like...
adventure? Danger? Excitement? Travel? Romance? PIGS?! If so, play this
game now. You will find a little (or a lot) of each in it. Is that
clear?!
Challenge and Replay [10/10]:
This game is tough, no matter HOW many times you play it. It's also very
frustrating. Get as far as the Diamond Mine and you'll see why. Also,
it's kind of cool where you have to order the stones in Will's Dad's
order at the pyramid. If you're looking for a challenge, look here.
Those who've beaten Chrono Trigger or Super Mario RPG and are looking
for something a bit tougher, check here. Something interesting happens
when you give Gem all 50 red jewels, but that's easier said then done.
Conclussion/Overall [9.5/10]:
Play now, play now, PLAY NOW! Do you like one of the things I listed up
in the game play section? Do you like the Zelda series? Do you like
astronomy? (joke there) Do you like weird creatures? If you do, this
game is for you. If you DO play it, you can't put it down!
