Description:
ABC's game show phenomenon, "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" keeps popping up in video game format. After making appearances on the PC and the PlayStation, "Millionaire" comes to Game Boy Color (GBC).
I like the GBC version the best because it's portable. That means I can play anywhere. The designers did an impressive job with this game on the GBC - very little was lost.
Game Features:
- Become a virtual millionaire by answering 15 questions correctly
- Use your three "lifelines" when you're stumped, just like the TV show
- Answer 600 challenging multiple-choice questions
- Compete with friends in the "fastest fingers round"
Things to keep in mind:
Expect repeats, even though the game features 600 questions. If you play often, you'll probably come across questions more than once. It would be nice if some sort of memory could keep track of previously asked questions.
Who would enjoy this game?
If you tune in regularly to watch the game show, then the video game will that much more enjoyable to you. However, this is still a great choice for gamers interested in any type of trivia game.
I wouldn't recommend this one for younger kids, though. The questions are pretty tough, even for most adults. I have yet to surpass the $32,000 mark.
Bottom Line: A wonderfully presented, portable version of the hit TV show. Slick graphics and tough questions make you feel like you're in the hot seat.
